preps skin for sluffing
removes surface oils

A multi-tasking body cleanser that preps skin for the best sluff of your life or a daily cleanser to remove the day's grime. For the best sluff, prep the skin by cleansing away the “slip” (lotions, creams, body oils, etc.) so the mitt has a better grip while sluffing. For daily use, lather up and wash away the day's SPF, excess sweat, lotions, creams, and anything else you may have gotten into.

Why you need to sluff

Sluffing goes deeper than exfoliating scrubs by mechanically lifting away layers of product buildup (oils from scrubs, SPF, lotions, creams, self-tanner, etc.) and dead, ashy skin. You'll see it all roll off like eraser shavings— it's grossly satisfying.

No gritty jars. No sugar or salt scrubs.

Just your smoothest skin revealing itself and ready for better product absorption.

Ingredients

pre-sluff bar: olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, water (aqua), sodium hydroxide, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, charcoal, fragrance (parfum), hydrolyzed rice protein, arthrospira platensis (spirulina)

questions?

we’ve got answers.

What is sluffing?

Sluffing is a Korean bathing routine that removes dead skin using heat and friction. It’s not a scrub — it’s a method.

What is the difference between exfoliating and sluffing?

sluffing is our term for a deep skin exfoliating treatment inspired by the Korean tradition of “seshin”, which is the ritual of softening skin through submersing oneself in warm/hot water, then mechanically scrubbing the dead skin off with a small, abrasive cloth.

How often should you sluff your skin?

Once a week is the sweet spot. Your skin needs time to regenerate between sessions.

You can sluff more often if you regularly wear body SPF, sweat more than average, spend a lot of time in grimy environments, etc. You can also use less pressure for a daily, light sluff.

Does sluffing help keratosis pilaris (KP)?

Many people with KP love to sluff. Consistent use can help smooth and soften the texture over time.

Is sluffing safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, but start slow. Use light pressure and try once a week first.

Why isn’t my dead skin rolling off?

Not all skin produces the same buildup. Elbows, knees, and folds tend to show the most. Similarly, not everyone is built the same and some people may shed more dead skin than others. If the first pass with the sluffing mitt doesn’t work, try a few more times.

How long does the kit last?

With regular use (1-2x per week), the kit lasts around 4-6 weeks.

How do I clean the sluff mitt?

Wash the mitt on a cold laundry cycle and hang to dry.
